Attention Little Pickers: We will be meeting again on Saturday, May 11th at 10am in the parking lot of Phibbs Exchange bus loop and working outward from there! We look forward to seeing you next Saturday!
Good morning Little Pickers, despite the rain we will be meeting this morning at 10am in the parking lot of Earls Restaurant on Marine Drive in North Vancouver. This area is in desperate need of our hard working kids to get it into tip top shape! Break out the rain slickers and wellies, we’re going to get wet! Hope to see you there
We will be heading out to the Lower Capilano area after Easter. Please stay tuned for date and time!! Have a great Spring Break and Happy Easter!!
Happy New Years Little Pickers!
Now that we are all getting over the Christmas/flu season it’s time to clean up the streets (or in this case, the beach!). Yes, we are crossing the border into West Vancouver to clean up Ambleside Park. Please join us at 3:30 on Saturday, January 19th for a clean-up.
I have plenty of pickers and garbage bags, so no need to bring anything but if you wouldn’t mind giving me a quick RSVP this time around that would be great. Each child who comes to help will receive a bag of seed to feed the ducks afterward at the pond!
We will be meeting on the soccer field across from the playground. Hope to see you there!
With the busy holiday season fast approaching and the weather being so dreary, the Little Pickers will be taking a break until the New Year. Thanks to all those who made 2012 so great for us and we look forward to seeing you again in January. As before, if your family, friends, neighbours or community group is interested in Adopting-A-Street to keep clean or beautify, please get in touch with us and we would be happy to get you information you need! Thanks all , Merry Christmas!
The District of North Vancouver is hosting a Volunteer Appreciation dinner next week and the Little Pickers are on the guest list! Thanks to the families who come out every month, I wish we could have everyone attend but we will accept this recognition on behalf of all of you!
I would like to extend a big THANK YOU to the families who braved the awful weather yesterday afternoon. The kids did a great job despite the rain and we managed to collect 3 bags of soggy trash, 2 bags of drywall, that a disrespecting neighbour left at the end of the street, a scooter and one rat carcass! To The Sieffert’s, The Hauptman’s, The Black’s, The Devlin’s, The Lever kids and The Janetka brothers – GOOD JOB!!
Just a reminder to everyone that Little Pickers will be cleaning up Lytton Street at Mt. Seymour Parkway this Saturday, November 3rd at 4pm! We will be meeting on the south side of Lytton just beyond the entrance to Ron Andrews Rec Centre. The weather is supposed to be a bit dreary but we will go ahead rain or shine!
Calling all spooky Pickers for a post-Halloween clean-up!
When: Saturday, November 3rd at 4pm
Where: Lytton Street (the south side from Mt. Seymour Parkway to Windsor’s turf field)
To bring: Your kids, your friends and their kids, your neighbours and their kids!!!
We hope to see you out rain or shine and work off some of that Halloween candy we will all inevitably eat (not to mention clean up this particularly trashy corridor)!
The Little Pickers have hit the big time on the front cover of the North Shore News!
